Sheri Huckleberry

Huckleberry was the first major college women's soccer recruit to come from Frederick County when she signed with the University of Connecticut in 1993. UConn made three NCAA Final Eight and one NCAA Final Four appearance during her four-year college career. Huckleberry played semi-professional soccer for the Connecticut Wolves, Wembly FC (London), Columbus Ziggx and Indiana Blaze from 1996 through 2001.

She was a two-time Frederick County Player of the Year and three-time all-state honoree at Middletown. She served as the head coach at NCAA Division I Marist and as an assistanct coach at Ohio University, Ball State, and Iowa. She has been a state and regional Olympic Development Program (ODP) coach and serves as the NSCAA Ohio State Director.
