Keith Collins is an accomplished player, coach, and official. Collins was a three-year varsity defender at Linganore High School. He played for two years at Frederick Community College where after both seasons he was named team MVP and earned MD JuCo and All-Region XX honors. He was a second-team Maryland JuCo selection in 1987 and first-team in 1988. In both years he was a second-team Region XX selection. He’s FCC’s career assist leader at 24, which included a single-season record of 18 in 1988.
He also scored 11 career goals. He was inducted into the FCC Hall of Fame in 2022. He played one year at Longwood University before turning his attention to coaching. He returned to FCC as a coach, spending nine seasons and racking up 68 career victories. He spent 16 years coaching with Frederick Excel and FC Frederick. He began officiating USSF matches in 2012 and started refereeing NCAA and NJCAA matches in 2016.
He recently went over 160 career college matches officiated. In addition, he officiated more than 900 matches at Frederick Indoor Soccer Center during a 5 1/2-year career of indoor officiating.
