Alan Lescalleet

Lescalleet had a storybook ending to his coaching career, winning a state title at Brunswick in the final match he coached. Lescalleet resurrected the soccer program at Brunswick in 1980 and coached through 1997, qualifying for the playoffs in 10 of the 13 years before the state’s open playoff format. He guided Brunswick to a state title in 1990. He came out of coaching retirement to once again guide Brunswick in 2013 and 2014. He recorded 122 wins, coached seven all-state players and was named the Frederick News-Post Coach of the Year on two occasions.

Lescalleet coached Frederick Community College for one season, compiling a 9-3-2 record. He also coached 15 years for the Frederick Excel and FC Frederick club programs. As a player, Lescalleet was a four-year varsity performer and was named to the very first All-MVAL team in 1969 as a senior at Walkersville. He was a two-year starter at FCC and played three years in the Mason-Dixon Soccer League.
