Samantha Myers

Samantha Meyers proved to be a ground-breaking player in Frederick County high school soccer. She was the county’s first two-time All-America honoree, the first Parade All-America honoree, the first to garner Gatorade and MACS female state player of the year honors, and she led Thomas Johnson to the first large school state title for any county school – boys or girls.

When she graduated from Thomas Johnson in 1998 she held five school records, including goals in a game, season and career. In club soccer, she was a three-time Maryland ODP and Region I ODP participant and spent time as part of the Under-16 National Team player pool.

She was a four-year player at the University of Minnesota where she earned second-team All-Big Ten honors in 2000 and was named team MVP in 2000 and 2001. She was part of two Minnesota teams that reached the NCAA Division I tournament.
