Almost all of Brian Crum's soccer career played out between Frederick and Emmitsburg, and it has been quire a career. Crum emerged as one of the area's top goalkeepers during his time at Walkersville High School. He was a two-time AJI MVAL and all-county selection, capped with earning MACS All-State and Frederick News-Post Defensive Player of the Year honors in 1997.
Crum was one of the few Frederick County players in the 1990s to play on the NCAA Division I level when he joined Mount Sc. Mary's. He was the ream captain his junior and senior seasons. He was an all-tournament selection at the Towson Tournament in 2001. Crum had the lowest GAA in the NEC in 2002 and led all South Atlantic keepers in total saves char same season. Crum led goalkeeping camps and clinics from 1998-2003 and worked the Mark Meccrick and Rob Ryerson camps.
He spent 13 years as an assistant coach and goalkeeping coach at Walkersville. As an adult, he played in the Mason-Dixon league, Mid-Maryland League and still plays at FISC
