Amy Franciscovich Davis

Amy Franciscovich, as she was known during her playing days, holds the honor of the most distinguished scholar-athlete to hail from Frederick County. While playing a key role as a goalkeeper and piling up records and individual honors during Thomas Johnson’s Class 4A state title in 2001, she also collected the titles of Frederick County Scholar-Athlete of the Year, NSCAA National Scholar-Athlete of the Year and 2002 Wendy’s High School Heisman winner.

She capped her high school career by being named EST MVP at the Powerade/McDonald’s High School All-American Game. At Emory University, she set goalkeeping career records for wins, shutouts, and minutes played. She earned All-University Athletic Association honors three times, including first team in 2005. She received an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship and continued her academic career, ultimately graduating from Harvard Medical School. She is now known as Dr. Amy Davis, serving both Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Ascension St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore.
