Chuck Hommey is the man behind the scenes for FC Frederick, holding the title of Director of Operations. He has a USSF B License and a USSF National Youth License that he has put to good use while serving the local soccer community for nearly 30 years. An all-county performer as a goalkeeper at Walkersville High School, Hommey continues to work with top goalkeepers in the area. In addition, he has coached more than 20 teams between club, high school, and summer pro teams.
He has worked with hundreds of players and helped more than 100 players with their college recruiting plans en route to helping them find their way onto college rosters. As a player, Hommey was a walk-on goalkeeper at West Virginia University for two years. He returned to the area and played 15 years in the Maryland Major and Mason-Dixon men’s leagues, winning a combined 14 league and championship titles. He has been an FC Frederick Board of Trustee member since 2007 and in his current role with the club, he helps organize and run all sorts of events, ranging from on-field to fundraising.
