Karin Treese Bauer

The emergence of the Thomas Johnson girls soccer power in the 1990s started with Karin Treese Bauer as a player, and that presence continues today with the long-time assistant coach, who is now at Urbana. The multi-sport standout at Thomas Johnson went on to a stellar college career at Washington & Lee, where she had 72 goals and 23 assists in 63 career matches. She was a four-time letter winner, two-time team captain, four-time All-ODAC selection and three-time NSCAA All-South selection.

Treese Bauer also played basketball and lacrosse at Washington & Lee. She was inducted into the Washington & Lee Hall of Fame, and at the time of her induction still held five women’s soccer school records. As an assistant coach at Thomas Johnson and Urbana, she has been part of 27 championships – 14 conference/county titles, 10 regional titles and three state titles.
